About the book

The Adventures of Mr. Ant is a collection of bedtime stories told to my children when they were young. They wanted something new, so I invented the main character, Mr. Ant. He is an adventurous ant. Not willing to settle for normal ant life, he starts on an adventure. He makes friends, overcomes problems, and makes interesting discoveries that lead to fun and unexpected adventures. It is filled with lots of adventures, with some good morals on the side Mr. Ant shows us that we can learn new things and have fun while learning. It shows that friendship does not depend upon being the same but upon a willingness to accept others as they are. Sometimes being a friend is an adventure of its own.

About the Author

Lloyd Shores was born in Northwest Arkansas. He is the youngest of four kids. He grew up on a small farm. His mother was a devout Christian and made sure that he and his siblings attended church regularly. He worked on the farm until he graduated High School in 1972. He attended Arkansas Tech University. He was born again at the age of 21. He graduated from Tech in 1976 with a BS Degree in chemistry. In 1977 he surrendered to the call to preach God’s word. He married in 1980. He and his lovely wife Brenda settled in Alma, Arkansas. They have two children. He spends his time as bi-vocational minister/pastor and a chemist.

The goal of this website is to enhance the book reading experience for children, give parents and teachers tools to help their child with reading comprehension, and give children and adults an opportunity for constructive dialog regarding behavioral choices.
